What good is a goal without purpose? And how do you propose we get there without a plan?

The Lurong Living Challenge Series is about more than losing weight, improving performance, or feeling more comfortable in a swimsuit. It is even about more that creating a sustainable lifestyle transformation though diet and fitness. The Challenge is about each one of us reaching goals which enable us to live out our purpose. The Challenge empowers us to live to our potential by giving us the direction and the plan we need to reach our goals.

Have you ever wondered why you feel so empowered after hitting a new PR or by hitting a weight loss goal? I mean, who else notices each step and small improvement but the person looking in the mirror? Each one of our little victories and struggles builds our confidence and becomes a part of who we are. And most importantly, each victory helps us be better prepared to live out our purpose in any area of life. Therefore, this the right challenge will not only improve your physical health, but your mind and belief in yourself will be changed forever.

The Power of a Plan

Changing your diet can be an overwhelming process when you go at it alone. Millions of people make goals or resolutions to lose weight, get in shape, or clean up their diet, but the casualty rate of these dreams is staggering. Without a plan it is near impossible to reach these goals.

A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true. –Greg Reid

The first step is to realize that we need help. We need someone with more experience, more expertise to coach us along the way and to clearly lay out the path we are going to travel. However, sometimes plans and nutrition programs can be like walking on a tightwire.

Tightwire

So what does a plan have to do with a tigthtwire? Imagine walking across a canyon on a tightwire with no safety strap. Are you palms sweating? Now imagine doing so in the dark. “Impossible” probably comes to mind. After all, one misstep and your mission is over. One slip and all is lost. There is no room for error and certainly not much room for creativity or personalization. A tightwire provides one possible route to get from point A to point B with no deviation possible or acceptable.

Unfortunately, many nutrition programs are set up like a tightwire. Some are all about following a strict list of “what not to eat” but they fail to explain the “why”. Without some freedom to experiment, explore, and fail a little along the way, how can any real change be possible? Others provide plenty of content and knowledge but fail to provide accountability, community, or milestones to keep you on track and to gauge your progress along the way. Without a supportive community and a structure that allows you to be you, how can you embrace the challenge and be transformed from the inside out?

The Lurong Living Challenge Series, on the other hand, provides an experience, not just a program. It is better defined as a road map.

Road Map

A road map provides clear direction so you can get from point A to point B. The map has clear directions for how to get to your destination, but it is up to you to drive down the road. If you get sidetracked from your goal you always have the map to help get you back on course. Imagine you are following the directions on a wedding invitation. You are halfway to your destination when you make a wrong turn. If your map is good, you can quickly get back on course to make it to the wedding on time. Wouldn’t it be crazy to give up and go back home just because you lost your way for a few moments? I am sure you can see where this is going.

Your nutrition plan must provide clear direction, and it also must provide some flexibility for life to happen. The plan must provide direction, support, and motivation to help you get back on track quickly, and with no guilt. The Lurong Living Challenge Series provides such a plan. We will give you the directions, the resources, and the information to help you get there, and the support and accountability to keep you going.

Each Lurong Living Challenge provides 3 diet levels so that you are always encouraged to make the best decision possible during all times of the day. You don’t have to be perfect to see results. We provide extensive meal planning resources with weekly shopping lists and meal prep instructions. You don’t have to follow our suggestions, but know that you also don’t have to start from scratch. We also provide more than 100 recipes that even I can make. You will find support from your team, the community forum, and our dedicated Challenge Team. You are never alone in your journey. As you track your diet, lifestyle markers, and fitness results, you will be accountable to yourself and your team.

Fun

I can’t overstate this one enough. When we think of “plans”, we cringe. Yeah, coming up with plans is tough, but we took care of that already. All you have to do is take the Challenge and enjoy the process, the workouts, earning points, winning prizes, competing against your friends and rival boxes. Think of it like a vacation. Planning the vacation is tough work, but going on vacation is fun.

If you have ever wondered what you are really capable of or if you can actually see change happen, I invite you to join us for the 2016 Resolution Challenge. Change is possible and it is fun. It starts January 18th, 2016.

Here’s to the new you!
